The Dalles, OR

What a great way to start the tour in The Dalles, OR. If every concert experience is even half as good as it was in The Dalles on Thursday night September 7th, we will have a joyous year touring.
We were greeted by a very friendly group and felt at home with the community concert board members. The audience was enthused and enjoyed the evening. I played my harp pretty well considering the heat. I can think of a few string pulls on my harp I would like to take back. I don't think anyone noticed except me.
Now for the eating experience. We have vowed to have at least one enjoyable meal a day where we eat inside instead of while driving. We have vowed to eat a meal in a non-chain type of restaurant. Some place that is unique; a one-of-a-kind establishment.
We spent the night in Goldendale,WA. It is difficult to sleep imediately after giving a concert ( the concert attendees didn't even sleep during the concert!) so we drive for about an hour. On Friday morning we had breakfast in Yakima, WA. If you want breakfast in Yakima, go to the place where we ate on Main Street. You won't miss the spinning neon sign featuring a man in a plaid shirt shooting a rifle.
The next concert is in Great Falls, MT on September 21st. Check back after that for some more insights to our travels. See you. Bronn
